ABOUT THE MUSIC

Fanfare for Six Horns, Op. 1 is an award-winning, internationally recognized work, from composer William May. Championed by such artists as John Turman (Seattle Symphony Orchestra), who described the work as a “gift to the repertoire,” the composer was challenged in 2022 by Director Quentin Goins (Stephenson High School - Stone Mountain, Ga.) to reimagine Fanfare, using a large-ensemble canvas: that of the Wind Band. We are excited to announce that the vision has indeed come to pass, and that the work is NOW PUBLISHED!
